Sunscreen and Vitamin D Deficiency

Over the last decades we have been exposed to a lot of negative information about the Sun, especially cancer. It seems we have to now fear the Sun and go buy the latest SPF sunglasses, sunblockers and clothing. Is the Sun as harmful as we think?

We’ve been exposed to the rays of the sun for millions of years and we’ve never had the reason to use Sunscreen. Instead, we have nurtured form its rays as the UV rays have helped us synthetize vitamin D. Sunscreen then is one of the causes that vitamin D deficiency diseases are on the rise!

To make it clear: we need exposure to the rays of the Sun. Of course, everything in excess is harmful, so you have to take the “common sense” approach. Go take a walk, enjoy sunlight, nurture from the rays of the Sun and you’ll be healthier. Try to avoid sunblocker that only put chemical components on your skin. Get rid of vitamin deficiencies.
